Introduction Of A Single Form For Trade License And Registration For Shops And Commercial Establishments In Haryana

The Government of Haryana vide Notification No EoDB/LW/2021/ has introduced a scheme for receiving the online applications for registration of shop and commercial establishment under Punjab Shops And Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 and Trade License under the local municipal laws through the online portal of HEPC (Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre) in a single form. Maharashtra

Paid Holiday For Employees In Maharashtra Eligible To Vote In Gram Panchayat Elections

The Maharashtra State Election Commission has notified the schedule for Gram Panchayath elections in the State. The Polling for 14,234 Gram Panchayats in 34 districts of the State except for Mumbai city and Mumbai suburbs will be held on 15th January 2021 (Friday). Further, polling will be held in Chamorshi, Mulchera, Aheri, Etapalli, Bhamragad, and Sironcha talukas of Gadchiroli districts on 20th January 2021 (Wednesday). Now the Maharashtra State Election Commission, vide notification dated 5th January 2021, has directed employers to declare Paid Holiday on the Polling Day i.e 15th January and 20th January 2021 to allow Employees to cast their vote for the Gram Panchayat elections in the State of Maharashtra. The notification further states as follows, (1) Workers/officers/employees who are eligible voters in the electoral polling constituency should be given a holiday to claim their voting rights on Polling Day, even if they are working outside the Constituency in which election is being held. (2) This holiday will be applicable to all shops, establishments, residential hotels, restaurants, trade, industrial enterprises, or other establishments in the electoral polling constituency concerned. (3) There is no need to close shops/companies/commercial establishments in urban areas or non-election areas. Employers in Maharashtra advised to take note of the above and ensure that these directions are fully complied with. If there is a complaint about voters not getting the right holiday or concession for voting, appropriate action will be taken against them

Relaxation Of Procedure For Filing Claim For Relief Under Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana

ESIC vide notification No. N-12/13/01/2019-P&D. has notified relaxation of the condition of submitting a claim for relief under the Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana scheme. As per the amendment claims through affidavit forms are no longer required under Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana (ABVKY) of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). Karnataka Shops And Establishment Permitted To Remain Open 24x7 days For Next Three Years

Government of Karnataka vide notification No. E-LD 4 LET 2019(P) permits all Shops and Commercial Establishments in the state employing ten or more persons to be open on 24 X 7 basis on all days of the year for a period of three years from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification. One Time Relaxation Towards Filing Return Of ESI Contribution For The Period April 2020 To September 2020

The Employees State Insurance Corporation vide notification no: P-11/12/Misc./SST Misuse/2019-Rev.II has extended time of filing return of contribution for the contribution period April 2020 to September 2020 under Employees State Insurance (General) Regulations, 1950 up to 15th January 2021. Guidelines For Implementation Of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana In EPFO Registered Establishment

The Central Government has launched Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana (ABRY) scheme to incentivize the creation of new employment opportunities during COVID-19 recovery phase by assisting the employers of establishments registered with EPFO to recruit unemployed person including re-employment of those who have been rendered un-employed during Pandemic. EPFO vide notification No.CAIU/011(16)2020-21/ABRY/1178 hereby directed to introduce the scheme guidelines approved by Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India which provides upfront credit of both employees' share (12% of wages) and employers share (12% of wages) depending on the employment strength of the establishment, directly to the Universal Account Number of eligible employee maintained by the EPFO. The scheme would be effective from 1st October 2020 and shall remain open for registration of eligible employers and new employees up to 30th June 2021. The benefit shall be available for a period of twenty-four months from the date of registration of new employee, not later than 30th June 2023 in any case. The Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) (Gujarat Amendment) Rules, 2020

The Labour and Employment Department, Gujarat vide notification no: GHR/2020/163/CLA/152020/415126 has amended the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) (Gujarat) Rules, 1972. As per the amendment, the security amount for each of the workmen to be employed as contract labour is increased to Rupees five hundred and forty from the existing amount of Rupees two hundred and seventy. The amendment has further revised the fee structure and has also deleted the following provisions under the said rules : (1) Application for renewal of a licence, (2) Issue of duplicate certificate of registration or licence, (3) Grant of temporary certificate of registration and licence. Introduction Of Online Random Central Inspection System Under Various Labour Laws In Himachal Pradesh

The Governor of Himachal Pradesh vide notification No. Ind.-A(F)13-3/2017 has introduced an online random Central Inspection System covering the Department of Labour and Employment and Department of Industries in the State. The framework will integrate the independent inspection systems in various departments to form a Central Random Online Inspection System, responsible for synchronizing multiple inspections and all inspections will be directed through the Central Random Online Inspection System. The Central inspection framework will be applicable to the following acts : (a) The Himachal Pradesh Shops And Commercial Establishments Act,1969 (b) The Payment of Bonus Act, 1965 (c) The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 (d) The Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 (e) The Equal Remuneration Act, 1976 (f) The Payment of Wages Act, 1936 (g) The Factories Act, 1948 (h) The Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
