Exemption Under The Shops And Establishment Act In Chandigarh
The Administrator of Chandigarh vide notification No. 12/02/15-H-II(2)-2020/7845 has allowed all shops and establishment covered under The Punjab Shops And Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 to open their outlets on all days of the week for a period of three months subject to conditions as mentioned below (i) It must be ensured that all provisions of the Act/Rules relating to employees working conditions, rest interval, weekly off days and other restrictions specified in the aforementioned Act of 1958 must be complied with (ii) Opening and closing hour of all the Shops And Commercial establishments will remain the same on all seven days of the week as notified by Chandigarh administration from time to time (iii) The rotation of employee engaged should be done so that mandatory weekly rest be given to them (iv) The orders issued separately under Disaster Management Act regarding odd-even formula in selected markets will continue to be in operation

Amendment Under The Puducherry Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) Rules, 1973
Government of Puducherry vide notification no G.O.Ms. No.64/AIL/Lab/G/2020 has amended The Puducherry Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) Rules, 1973. As per the amendment, mentioned are the details of the changes (a) The application for registration under Puducherry Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) Rules shall be made through the online portal of Labour Department, Puducherry i.e https://loe.py.gov.in/ (b) The certificate of registration shall be granted through the on-line portal of Government of Puducherry (c) The fees shall be paid by visiting online portal Government of Puducherry under the relevant head of accounts viz 0230-labour & Employment 106-Fees (d) Every employer shall maintain a register of contractors, register of persons employed electronically (e) The half-yearly return and annual return shall be submitted through the online portal of Labour department. The amendment also requires that books, register, records shall be maintained electronically at the discretion of Employer subject to the condition that Employer shall furnish all such books, register, records in the electronic form to Inspector on demand. Telangana Labour Employment Training & Factories Department has issued a notification with reference to the earlier order dated 20th May 2020 regarding the declaration of paid holidays for shops and establishment, which was given effect up to 31st May 2020 has been extended up to 7th June 2020, subject to the relaxations given and conditions imposed therein

Further Extension Of Renewal Of License For Various Acts Under Central Sphere
Government Of India keeping in view the lockdown across India due to COVID-19, the validity of licenses granted under the Contract Labour (R&A) Act, 1970 And Inter-State Migrant Workmen (ISMW) Act-1979 are hereby extended up to 30th June 2020 for those licenses whose renewal falls in the months of March, April, May, & June 2020. Extension Of Working Hours For Factories In Chandigarh
The Administrator of Chandigarh vide notification No. 12/01/106-IIII(2)-2020/7732 has exempted all factories registered under The Factories Act, 1948 in the Union territory from the provisions of Section 51 (Weekly Hour), Section 54 (Daily Hour), Section 55 (intervals of rest) and Section 56 (Spread over) with immediate effect for a period of three months subject to conditions that (i) No Workers shall be allowed to work in a factory for more than twelve hours in any day and seventy-two hours in any week, (ii) The period of work of workers in a factory each day shall be so fixed that no period shall exceed six hours and that no workers shall work for more than six hours before he had an interval of for rest of at least half an hour (iii) No female worker shall be allowed or required to work in a factory between 07.00 PM to 06.00 AM. Other provisions of the Factories Act, 1948 shall continue to be in force. Please refer to the notification for more details

Extension Of Time Limit To Deposit Labour Welfare Fund In The State Of Haryana For The Year 2019
The Government of Haryana, vide circular No HLWB.REVE/678-83 had extended the last day to deposit the Labour Welfare Fund pertaining to the year 2019, without any interest, till 31st March 2020. Now the Government of Haryana, vide circular No.HLWB/REVE/3784-89 has further extended the last day to deposit the Labour Welfare Fund pertaining to the year 2019, till 30th June 2020

Rajasthan
Withdrawal Of Order On Extension Of Working Hours In Factories In Rajasthan
Government of Rajasthan vide notification No .. F.3 (15) / Legal / F & B / 2020 / 3o/ has cancelled the order no. F.3(15)/Legal/F&B/2020/188 dated 11-04-2020 and order no. F.3 (15)/Legal/F&B/2020/226 dated 24-04-2020 issued earlier under Section 5 of the Factories Act, 1948 (Act No- 63 of 1948) granting exemption to all factories registered under Factories Act, 1948 from provisions of section 51, section 54 of the act subject to certain conditions as per the notification. Therefore, employers of factories in the State of Rajasthan are advised to comply with the working hours as prescribed under the Factories Act,1948. Please refer notification for further details

Extension Of Working Hours For Factories In Karnataka
Government of Karnataka vide notification No.KAE 33 KABANI 2020 has exempted all factories registered under The Factories Act, 1948 in the state from the provisions of Section 51 (Weekly Hour), Section 54 (Daily Hour) with effect from 22nd May 2020 to 21st August 2020 subject to conditions that no adult worker shall be allowed or required to work in a factory for more than ten hours in any day and Sixty hours in any week and provision of Section 59 regarding overtime wage shall continue to be applicable without any change
