Disposal Of Hazardous Waste For Units Not Requiring Consent Under State PCB In Odisha

Odisha State Pollution Control Board vide notification no. IND-IV-HW-MISC-332/8873 has directed that an occupier shall not be required to obtain an authorization under Rule 6(1) of Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules 2016. The notification further provides that the hazardous and other waste generated by the occupiers shall be given to the actual users, waste collector or operator of the disposal facility in accordance with CPCB guidelines. Enforcement Of Guidelines For Assessing Environmental Compensation For Discharging Untreated Sewage In Jammu And Kashmir

The Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Board, vide notification no. 121-JKPCB of 2020 in consultation with the Technical Advisory Committee constituted by the board has framed guidelines for levying environmental compensation for small scale Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) as used in many commercial establishments like Hotels / Hostels / Banquet Halls / Convention Centres / Circuit Houses / Dak Bungalows / Commercial Establishments / Shopping Malls / Educational Institutions. Further Extension Of Validity Period Of Consent To Operate In Jharkhand

The Jharkhand Pollution Control Board, vide Notification No. B-100 has extended the validity of Consent to Operate to 30th September 2020, which were previously set to expire on 31st March 2020, 30th April 2020, 31st May 2020, 30th June 2020, 31st July 2020, and 31st August 2020. The extension will be in compliance with the conditions mentioned in the previous operating consent and related statutory conditions. Please refer to the notification for more details

Revision Of Procedures And Documentation For Obtaining One-Time Authorization Under Rule 13 Of HOW(M&TM) Rules 2016 In Punjab

Punjab State Pollution Control Board vide notification No. SEE(HQ-2)/2020/475, has released directions regarding the procedure for dealing application for obtaining one-time authorization by the trader for the import of scrap on behalf of 'actual user' as required under Part-D of Schedule-III of Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016. The notification also contains the list of documents required for the submission of the application for obtaining the one-time authorization. Please refer to the notification for details

Industries Generating Hazardous Waste To Install Display Board In Assam

Pollution Control Board Assam vide Notification No. WB/T-237/19-20/95 has directed all industries involved in hazardous chemicals and generating hazardous waste to install display board outside the factory gate containing information related to effluent discharge, air emissions, and waste generated in their factory premises in the format annexed with the notification. In addition to this, the Installation of Online Display Board has been made mandatory in all the large scale, medium, and small units and it may also be regulated to install an appropriate size manual environmental data display board outside the factory gate. Haryana Fire Service (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020

Haryana Government vide notification no. Leg. 21/2020 has amended the Haryana Fire Service Act, 2009. Subsection (1) of section 15 of the Act has been amended specifying that any person proposing to construct a building to be used for any purpose other than residential purpose or a residential building of more than 16.5 mtrs. height proposed on residential plot or proposed for other residential purposes of more than 15 mtrs. in height, such as group housing, multi-storeyed flats, walk-up apartments, etc., before the commencement of the construction, may apply for the approval of Fire Fighting Scheme conforming to National Building Code of India, the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the Factories Act, 1948 and the Punjab Factory Rules, 1952, and issue of no objection certificate on such form, along with the prescribed fees. Further Extension In Validity Period Of CTE/CTO, Authorisation, Registration And Any Other Mandatory Regulatory Clearances Under Punjab PCB

Punjab State Pollution Control Board vide notification No. SEE(HQ-2)/2020/453, has extended the Consent to Establish, Operate, Authorization, Registration, and any other mandatory regulatory clearances to 31st March 2021 which were set to expire on or after 30th June 2020. The extension is subjected to the following conditions : (1) Consent/authorization/registration application shall be submitted along with fee and undertaking to the effect that the industry is complying with the consent/authorization conditions and achieve the effluent/emission standard at all times. (2) The site inspection shall be carried out in due course of time. (3) In case of any complaint/violation, the consent/authorization shall be automatically considered to be revoked. Voluntary Disclosure Scheme For Industries, Institutes And Other Establishments In Punjab

Punjab State Pollution Control Board vide notification No. SEE(HQ-2)/2020/454, has announced Voluntary Disclosure scheme (VDS) for all the industries/institutes/other establishments to ensure compliance with various environmental laws. It will be applicable to all those who fulfill the following criteria: (a) The industries/institutes/other establishments have to deposit consent fee w.e.f. 1st November 2018 or from the date of the commissioning of the unit. In case the industry has been in operation before 1st November 2018, the industry shall deposit a one-time notional fee amounting to Rs. 5000/- (b) The scheme is valid only for those small scale industries or institutes/other establishments (having capital investment less than Rs. 10 crores), operating in designated areas and those which have never obtained consent to operate (c) Only those applications received through the online system of the Board (OCMMS) up to 31st December 2020, will be considered under this scheme.
