ESIC vide notification No. N-17011/1/2021-P&D has extended medical benefits in some areas of Assam with effect from 1st January 2022 under The Employees’ State Insurance (General)Regulations, 1950 and The Assam Employees' State Insurance (Medical Benefit) Rules, 1958. As per notification, medical benefits extended to the families of insured persons in the entire area Barpeta, Bangaigaon, Bishwanath, Cachar, Chirang, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Golaghat, Goalpara, Karbi Anglong, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Nalbari, Marigaon, Nagaon, Sibsagar, South Salmara Mankachar, Udalguri, West Karbi Anglong districts in the State of Assam, in addition to the already implemented area in the district.
