ESIC vide notification S.O. 5371(E) has implemented the provisions of Chapter IV (Contribution), Chapter V (Benefits), Chapter VI (Adjudication Of Disputes and Claims) in the entire area of following districts in the State of Assam such as Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Bishwanath, Cachar, Chirang, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Golaghat, Goalpara, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Nalbari, Marigaon, Nagaon, Sibsagar, Udalguri, West Karbi Anglong (in addition to the already implemented area in the district), including Karbi Anglong, Karimganj, South Salmara Mankachar.
