The Government of Goa vide No. 24/14/2021-LAB/209 has notified May 2nd, 2022, as the effective date for the Goa Shops and Establishments (Amendment) Act, 2021. The amendment act implements provisions on electronic filing, auto-renewal, and restriction for employment of women employees in certain cases. It has further revised the penalty in case of non-compliance with the provisions of the act. Please refer to the notification for more details
