The SEBI Board met in Mumbai today under the chairmanship of Shri Ajay Tyagi. The Part-Time Members joined the meeting through video conferencing. The Board, inter-alia, took the following decisions: New SEBI (Share Based Employee Benefits and Sweat Equity) Regulations, 2021. Review of regulatory framework for promoter, promoter group and group companies. Amendment to SEBI (Alternative Investment Funds) Regulations, 2012. Review of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Facilitating Ease of Doing Business in MIIs. Amendment to SEBI (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) Regulations, 2011 (“Takeover Regulations”). The obligation for physical disclosures would be done away with effect from April 01, 2022.
