The Ministry of Finance vide notification no. G.S.R. 629(E) has introduced a significant reform of the Customs (Finalisation of Provisional Assessment) Regulations, 2018 framework—streamlining timelines, clarifying procedural responsibilities, and strengthening accountability across stakeholders.
