Governor of Tripura vide notification No.F.8(19)-Law/Leg-I/2020 dated 11th August 2020 has promulgated The Tripura Industrial Disputes (Second Amendment) Ordinance,2020 amending The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. As per the ordinance the time limit for submission of an application to the Labour Court or Tribunal, in case of dismissal of an individual workman which may be deemed to be an industrial dispute, has been reduced from three years to one year from the date of dismissal, retrenchment, discharge or termination of service as per provisions of the Act.
