ESIC vide circular has decided to link ESIC insurance number of insured person with the EPFO's Universal Account Number (UAN), a twelve digit identification number number allotted by EPFO. Therefore, members of EPFO with authorised Aadhaar and Bank details seeded against the UAN can submit their provident fund withdrawal or settlement or transfer requests. An arrangement has been made in the ESI portal where the employer can enter the UAN of IPs through the module. Once after entering details in the system the same can be verified with EPFO.
