Notification regarding draft rules on the Indian Insurance Companies (Foreign Investment) Amendment Rules, 2025
The Ministry of Finance vide notification no. G.S.R. 591(E) proposed amending foreign investment norms for Indian insurance companies by aligning references to FEMA (NDI) Rules, removing specific ceiling limits, and permitting automatic route investments up to the limit set by the Insurance Act, subject to IRDAI verification.
