In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-20, the Central Government hereby makes following amendment in the Chapter 14 of Schedule – 2 of ITC (HS) Export Policy related to export of Betel leaves. 90A-14049040-Betel Leaves-Free-(a) Export to European Union is permitted subject to registration with APEDA, the designated Competent Authority - (a) Export to European Union is permitted subject to registration with SHEFEXIL, the designated Competent Authority for issuance of health certificate. Effect of this Notification: Export of Betel leaves to European Union is now subject to registration with SHEFEXIL, the designated Competent Authority for issuance of health certificate instead of APEDA.
