The Reserve Bank of India vide notification RBI/2025-26/82 notified the standardised guidelines for banks to settle claims of deceased customers to stop divergent practices among banks in this regard. Instructions issued vide these Directions shall be implemented as expeditiously as possible as but not later than 31st March 2026. Please refer the notification for more details.
