They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. In the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, in the proviso to sub-rule (1) of rule 108, after clause (ii), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:- “(iia) the amber light, if displayed by any direction indicator as top light on a vehicle specifically designated for the purpose of patrolling on the National Highways;” and refer attachment for further details.
