ORDER REGARDING CLARIFICATION WITH RESPECT TO HOPS IMPORTED TO INDIA, FOR USE AS AN INGREDIENT IN MANUFACTURING OF BEER (DATED-28.10.2022)

It is clarified that European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has specified the limits for copper in HOPS (dried), including hop pellets and unconcentrated powder at max.1000 ppm. Therefore, the imported product 'Hops Pellets ‘shall conform to the copper limit specified by EFSA as well as all other FSSAI standards, refer attachment for further details.
