This notification has come into effect from 03.08.2021. In the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, in rule 81, after the proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:- “Provided further that, for the Battery Operated Vehicles as defined in clause (u) of rule 2, the items given at Serial number 4 of the below mentioned Table shall be exempted from the payment of fees for the purpose of issue or renewal of registration certificate and assignment of new registration mark.”.
