As per notification G.S.R. 1182(E), the Central Government has amended Employees’ Provident Funds Scheme, 1952 by adding new provision under Paragraph 68HH vide the Employees’ Provident Funds (Amendment) Scheme, 2018. As per this scheme, in a Factory or any Establishment, a member is allowed for a non-refundable advance upto seventy-five percent of the amount standing to his credit in the Fund. State Government of Uttarakhand has cited Madras High Court Decision and with reference to the order of Ministry of Labour & Employment D.O. Letter No.-S25025/10/2016-ISH-II dated 17.02.2016 for initiating action towards permitting women working in night shifts with the provision of adequate safety, security and transportation to the woman workers. Thus the State government vide notification no:/VIII/18-91(labour)/2008 though department of labour has issued guidelines allowing women worker to be employed between 7.00 P.M. to 6.00 A.M in night shift along with various listed conditions,arrangements, safety instructions and precautions to be adopted by the employer
