Medical Benefit To Migrant Workers Covered Under ESI Scheme
ESIC vide notification No V-15/V/1/2006-Medical I (MS) has notified that in the wake of COVID-19 spread in the country and the subsequent nationwide lockdown imposed, insured persons covered under ESI scheme are facing difficulty in availing medical benefit while they have migrated from their workplace city/town to their native state. In order to mitigate these difficulties, ESIC has informed that the competent authority has approved such migrant workers across the country with valid ESI medical benefit entitlement may seek medical care services from ESI hospitals nearest to their home town, in case of emergency. Hence, the eligible ESI beneficiaries may avail of this facility from their nearest ESI hospital. Please refer notification for more details

Implementation Of New Employment Portal For Establishments In Haryana
The Government of Haryana vide circular no 8431 has introduced an online employment portal in the State to motivate and encourage the hiring of skilled and unskilled resources for industries and establishments. Employers are encouraged to use Rozgar Portal through http://rozgar.hrex.gov.in/ for hiring manpower in their industries or establishments
Maharashtra
Government of Maharashtra, Finance Department in exercise of the power conferred under Section 6(3) of The Maharashtra State Tax On Professions, Trade, Callings, And Employments Act, 1975 amends the Government Notification Finance Department, No. PFT-2014/C.R.-38/Taxation-3 dated 21st August 2014, to include Entry 7 in the Schedule to help employers who could not pay the tax or submit returns on time due to COVID-19 pandemic for any period up to the month of June 2020 can be filed on or before 31st July 2020 on the website of the Maharashtra Goods and Service Tax Department. Therefore, any Tax due or interest payable up to the month of June 2020 shall be paid before filing of return

Government of West Bengal, Directorate of Commercial Taxes in exercise of power conferred under Rule 12 of the West Bengal State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings, and Employments Rules, 1979, for the year ending 31st March 2020, the last date of filing Annual return in Form-III has been extended from the earlier date of 30th June 2020 to 30th September 2020. Withdrawal Of Order On Extension Of Working Hours In Factories In Karnataka
Government of Karnataka vide notification No.KAE 33 KABANI 2020 has canceled the notification no KAE 33 KABANI 2020, dated 22nd May 2020 to 21 August 2020 issued under Section 5 of the Factories Act, 1948 (Act No- 63 of 1948) granting exemption to all factories registered under Factories Act, 1948 from provisions of section 51 (Weekly Hour), section 54 (Daily Hour), of Factories Act, 1948 subject to certain conditions as per the notification. Therefore, employers of factories in the State of Karnataka are advised to comply with the working hours as prescribed under the Factories Act,1948. Please refer notification for further details

Telangana Labour Employment Training & Factories Department has issued a notification with reference to the earlier order dated 4th June 2020 regarding the declaration of paid holidays for shops and establishment, which was given effect up to 7th June 2020 has been extended up to 30th June 2020, subject to the relaxations given and conditions imposed therein
Chandigarh
Exemption Under The Shops And Establishment Act In Chandigarh
The Administrator of Chandigarh vide notification No. 12/02/15-H-II(2)-2020/7845 has allowed all shops and establishment covered under The Punjab Shops And Commercial Establishments Act, 1958 to open their outlets on all days of the week for a period of three months subject to conditions as mentioned below (i) It must be ensured that all provisions of the Act/Rules relating to employees working conditions, rest interval, weekly off days and other restrictions specified in the aforementioned Act of 1958 must be complied with (ii) Opening and closing hour of all the Shops And Commercial establishments will remain the same on all seven days of the week as notified by Chandigarh administration from time to time (iii) The rotation of employee engaged should be done so that mandatory weekly rest be given to them (iv) The orders issued separately under Disaster Management Act regarding odd-even formula in selected markets will continue to be in operation

Amendment Under The Puducherry Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) Rules, 1973
Government of Puducherry vide notification no G.O.Ms. No.64/AIL/Lab/G/2020 has amended The Puducherry Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) Rules, 1973. As per the amendment, mentioned are the details of the changes (a) The application for registration under Puducherry Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) Rules shall be made through the online portal of Labour Department, Puducherry i.e https://loe.py.gov.in/ (b) The certificate of registration shall be granted through the on-line portal of Government of Puducherry (c) The fees shall be paid by visiting online portal Government of Puducherry under the relevant head of accounts viz 0230-labour & Employment 106-Fees (d) Every employer shall maintain a register of contractors, register of persons employed electronically (e) The half-yearly return and annual return shall be submitted through the online portal of Labour department. The amendment also requires that books, register, records shall be maintained electronically at the discretion of Employer subject to the condition that Employer shall furnish all such books, register, records in the electronic form to Inspector on demand.
